• Temporarily connect the hot water supply and hot water to the building connections on 1 existing hot water storage tank to allow the system to remain in service while the tank is removed. • Furnish and install 2 new AO Smith TJV120 domestic hot water 119-gallon vertical storage tanks in the adjacent room to the existing boilers. • Furnish and install new correctly sized temperature and pressure relief valves on the new storage tanks with the relief lines routed to the nearest drain. • Seismic strapping of the new storage tanks. • Relocate the existing aquastat to the new storage tanks to reduce the short cycling of the new boilers. • Furnish and install 1 new Heat-Timer domestic hot water mixing valve designed to supply the current domestic hot water needs for the facility. • Furnish and install 1 new circulation pump which is properly sized to meet the requirements of the facility. • Furnish and install 1 new expansion tank sized to meet the needs of the facility. • Disconnect and remove the existing domestic hot water boiler in the mechanical room. • Relocate the existing AO Smith HW-670 boiler to the prior location of the domestic hot water boiler. • Revise and make corrections to the cold water, hot water, natural gas, flue, relief valves, and electrical to meet the manufacturers requirements and current code requirements. This includes ball valves, unions, gauges, and check valves in the required locations. • Electrical modifications. • Fire stopping of the plumbing penetrations. • Plumbing permit. • Regular labor hours. • Engineered drawings for permit submission. • Decommission the 3 existing hot water storage tanks in the lower-level space. The piping will be cut and capped and the tanks drained. • Coordinate the water shutdown times to minimize facility impacts.
