: APPLICANT/CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS: The applicant is responsible to notify the city 48 hours in advance of a job start using the CityView portal. The permit and TCP should be onsite at all time and available to the City’s inspector Applicant must provide 48hr. notification to residents within 300 feet of the work area either via door hanger, message board or signs posted visibly along the right-of-way. 1. PERMIT AND APPROVED TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN ARE REQUIRED TO BE AVAILABLE AT JOB SITE. NOT HAVING A PERMIT ONSITE SHALL BE SUBJECT TO TRIPLE PERMIT FEE. 2. The applicant is responsible to notify the city 48 hours in advance of a job start using the CityView portal. The permit and TCP should be onsite at all time and available to the City’s inspector 3. THE CITY SHALL BE NOTIFIED WHEN ALL WORK AND RESTORATION IS COMPLETE AND READY FOR FINAL INSPECTION. PRIOR TO RESTORATION, COORDINATE WITH AN INSPECTOR. *** SITE SPECIFIC CONDITIONS *** ** TCP Sheet 3 of 3 the aerial crossing of E Main will be done at night. SEE NIGHT CONDITIONS BELOW ** ** Except when the aerial crossing at the intersection of E Main and 23 St SW happens can both east and west bound traffic be obstructed at the same time. No exceptions. ** CLOSURE ALLOWED: TCP Sheet 1 of 3 and Sheet 2 of 3 work is allowed Monday - Thursday 9AM - 2PM TCP Sheet 3 of 3 Night Work required allow Sunday night through Thursday night 9PM - 5AM only. See night conditions. Call communications center at 253-287-4456 on day of closure. Request a job start inspection through the CityView portal. The City-issued permit packet shall be posted at the job site and available to inspectors at all times. All aerial crossings at an intersection shall be a maximum of 3 minutes. No disruption of signal timing allowed at signalized intersection unless the traffic control plan depicts a uniformed police officer at the intersection. Call Jeff Hill, City Inspector, at 253-204-5633 prior to starting any work. Puyallup construction restriction zones and routes shall be in effect during special events in downtown Puyallup or at the Washington State Fair. No work is allowed in the public right-of-way as defined by the Puyallup "Construction Restriction Zone & Routes Map." Work shall immediately cease in the work zone for a pedestrian spotter, available at all times, to escort pedestrians around the work area. The applicant shall coordinate redundant traffic control devices with other traffic control plans authorized near this site. The applicant shall notify public transportation agencies whose routes or stops are affected by the traffic control plan 24 hours in advance of job start. GENERAL CONDITIONS: 1. Follow approved Traffic Control Plan (TCP) 2. Follow allowed work hours listed above 3. If a lane will be closed, call Comm Center on day of closure prior to work start at 253-287-4456. 4. Spotter must be available to assist with pedestrians if needed. 5. To schedule inspection, go to: Secure.cityofpuyallup.org and select appropriate code. 6. Please utilize traffic control information below for TCP: A. Distance between cones equals speed limit in unit feet. B. Taper length equals width of offset times speed limit squared divided by 60. L = WS² /60 - W= lane width S = speed limit C. Sign spacing shall be 100 feet when speed limit is 30 MPH or less D. Sign spacing shall be 350 feet when speed limit is greater than 30 MPH E. Distance between signs is mandatory unless field conditions determine otherwise. 7. Do not open cut without prior approval. 8. Do not park vehicles on city sidewalk. Curb, gutter or sidewalk damaged shall be replaced. Inspection time performed during a regular 8-hour day Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm is included in the permit fee. Inspection time performed outside of those hours are charged to the permit holder at a rate of $130 per hour with a three-hour minimum. INDEMNIFICATION / HOLD HARMLESS: The Permittee shall defend, indemnify and hold the Public Entity, its officers, officials, employees and volunteers harmless from any and all claims, injuries, damages, losses or suits including attorney fees, arising out of or in connection with activities or operations performed by the Permittee or on the Permittee's behalf out of issuance of this Permit, except for injuries and damages caused by the sole negligence of the Public Entity. However, should a court of competent jurisdiction determine that RCW 4.24.115 applies to this Permit, then the Permittee agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the Public Entity, its officers, officials, employees and volunteers harmless to the maximum extent permitted thereunder. It is further specifically and expressly understood that the indemnification provided herein constitutes the Permittee's waiver of immunity under Industrial Insurance, Title 51 RCW, solely for the purposes of this indemnification. This waiver has been mutually negotiated by the parties. The provisions of this section shall survive the expiration or termination of this Agreement.
Night Traffic Control Overtime Inspection Fee Open Development & Permitting Services Standard Conditions
: Night work inspection fees: - Whenever work is progressing within the city, inspectors are required to be available for inspection. Therefore, work beyond a regular 8 hour day also needs inspected. - If your project is the only one operating at that time, you will be required to pay for the inspector to be there full time (3 hour minimum call out time). Whenever possible, the city will distribute fees among other projects working at the same time.
Night Work Conditions Open Development & Permitting Services Standard Conditions
: Night work requirements: - Applicant must provide 48 hour notification to residents within 300 feet of the work area either by door hanger, message board or signs posted visibly along the right-of-way. - Work allowed sunday night through thursday night only between the hours of 9 PM and 5 AM. - 48-hour advance notice is required for coordination/scheduling.
