Corrections:	Correction 1: Fire Alarm Status: Outstanding Date Status Changed: 08/11/2023 Comments: 1. All Above ceiling smoke detection needs to be shown on the plans. 2. The plans call out a detail for above clouds for smoke detection. Show these areas on the plan, offset device on plan if necessary. 3. If there is smoke detection above a cloud access through the cloud is required. This is a general note for final. 4. ATC or drop tiles will most likely be used, show above ceiling smoke detection in all of the areas unless there is no interstitial space. 5. Are there any drop beams not shown on the plans that will require a smoke detector on the opposite side? 6. With U.L. requirements detail why heat detectors are being placed in certain areas for approval. 7. What is the reason the 7 smoke detectors are being mounted on the walls? Does this meet NFPA 72 requirements along with manufacture install methods? Coverage looks questionable. 8. What is the Architects comment note? 9. Do the battery calcs account for above ceiling smoke detection?

Description: • Appointment required for all inspections am/pm is not guaranteed without appointment. Larger systems taking more than 1 hour will require 48-72hr notice prior to scheduling. • Provide plans and permit on site for inspection. • Complete labor and industries inspections prior to requesting city inspection. • Exterior fire bell required outside fire sprinkler room. • Above ceiling detection is required. • Device maps required at the annunciator and fire alarm panel prior to calling in final. The annunciator map will need to be weatherproof. • Total coverage is required, subject to field inspection. Comply with NFPA 72. • Fire alarm system shall be placarded per NFPA 72. The UL certificate shall be posted at time of final inspection. The system will need to be UL certified. • Pre-test shall be conducted with a printout for inspector at time of inspection. • Labeling of all devices above and below ceiling required. • Fire sprinkler tamper valves and PIV will be required to be tested at inspection. Fire sprinkler contractor to be onsite. • RTU’S and smoke dampeners will be required to be tested during inspection. • In existing buildings all above ceiling detection is to remain. Do not remove. • Due to unforeseeable construction design, all device locations to be field verified for compliance. Schedule your inspection online through the city of puyallup online permit system after requesting appointment from inspector.
